Minehead Museum reopens to the public on Saturday 21st March 2026. We look forward to welcoming back our regular volunteers who keep the museum running throughout the year. We are also keen to recruit new faces to help with the growth of the museum. If you have spare time, whether it is a couple of hours or days and would like to contribute to the culture and heritage of the area, we have a range of volunteering opportunities.
If you like meeting people and sharing your enthusiasm for the area, there are opportunities in stewarding or organising events. If you have artistic leanings there are opportunities in display and conservation and if your experience is in management there are opportunities in fundraising , general administration and grant applications.
You may not have the time yourself, but you may know someone looking for a new rewarding position. You do not need to be a local history expert or long term resident, as training is provided along with the opportunity to attend external courses. You also have plenty of interesting exhibits to look at! Come and join our dedicated team of volunteers.
