Many of you will have read of the Flash Flood that occurred in Minehead on Sunday, 17 September. We do hope you were unaffected by this unexpected deluge. The impact varied considerably across Minehead and Alcombe with the Parade closed by Police for a while and some flood water entering the Beach Hotel. The Museum was fortunately unaffected, but the same could not be said for our off-site storage which benefited from 9 inches of water. The museum items stored, including equipment, photographs and artefacts, escaped largely unscathed. It is clear that we need to review our storage options, as this facility is now being withdrawn after being provided free for the last ten years. If you know of dry and secure storage space, please do get in touch. The quantity of material is not large, probably a quarter the size of a domestic garage
